Full Performance Schedule (Takachiho no Yokagura)
The 高千穂の夜神楽 (Takachiho no Yokagura) is a series of Shintō ritual dances performed overnight, passed down for generations in the hamlets of 高千穂町 (Takachiho-chō, Miyazaki Prefecture).
Each community welcomes its tutelary deity in a 神楽宿 (kagura-yado, a venue that hosts the kagura) and offers the 33 dances throughout an entire night, as thanks for the harvest and prayers for prosperity.
The list below reproduces the official schedule for the November 2025 → February 2026 season (as of October 29, 2025), as published by the Takachiho Town Office.
Times and venues may be adjusted by each community; it is recommended to check the latest information with the Takachiho Tourist Information Office or local information centers.
Night Yokagura 2025–2026
Takachiho no Yokagura (full-night performances)
These performances correspond to the 夜神楽 (Yokagura) in the strict sense: a 村まつり (village festival) in which all 33 pieces are danced through the night in an improvised 神楽宿 (community hall, private home, etc.).

・The Takachiho no Yokagura is first and foremost a village festival for local deities. Visitors are welcome, but it is essential to follow residents’ guidance (photos, video, where to sit/stand, etc.).
・In some villages, the use of tripods or monopods for filming is prohibited. Please confirm on site and follow the organizers’ instructions.
